The Advent/Paschal candlestick is a memorial to the customer's husband, it stands in St Peter's church, Limpsfield. The candlestick has four fine scounces, which are lit through the course of the advent. These can be removed after advent to allow the main central candle to be lit at all other times.
The scounces were forged from a developed shape and riveted to the branches. The ribbons were forged and randomly twisted to achieve the desired effect, then riveted to the central tube. The feet were forged to a taper and fitted to a wooden base. All the iron work was finished with hot wax.
