Artistic architectural metalwork can enhance the overall design concept of a building be it entrance gates, boundary railings or internal fittings such as balustrades, handrails and ironmongery.

As a specialist area of design Chris Topp & Co offer the services of our in-house design team who are not only dedicated ironwork designers but also have a thorough understanding of the fundamental craft skills of the blacksmith and modern metalworking techniques. By combining these skills we aim to create contemporary work which will be the heritage ironwork of future generations. Our ironwork designs distinguish themselves through careful attention to detail. Blacksmithing skills are predominant where possible in our work as they not only allow an unparallel freedom in design and joint detailing but also achieve a lively and graceful three dimensional quality within the section, surface texture and shape of ordinary metal bar. We design and work three dimensionally enabling us to make sure your project is perfect for you in both style and quality.

All work is designed within pre-agreed budgets or, often when working with a client’s design concept, won through tender procedure. By combining our experience and skills in a wide variety of techniques and materials we are often able to provide economical solutions to otherwise complex designs concepts. Whilst we offer a total design service, our in-house designers are equally happy to work with our client’s design concepts. A consultancy service is also available for the restoration, renovation and design of ironwork.
