Great YORKSHIRE Show

We won a 2nd place, a 3rd place and the 'Reserve Champion' in the metalwork competition at this year's Yorkshire Show - July 2010.

There are several ‘classes’ for various types of work, in Class one – a Traditional Piece of Ironwork  - where work needs to be forge welded, a traditional technique used when working with hot metal, we won 2nd prize with their Yorkshire Rose Window piece. This piece was made as a sample, a decorative prototype for the external fascia of a glass building.

Our next prize was in the Class Two – a Contemporary Piece of Ironwork - where a modern staircase won 3rd prize.  This piece again made as a sample to show the alternatives to wooden staircases in a contemporary sitting.

We also won ‘Reserve Champion’ with the Yorkshire Rose Window.
