Working in collaboration with the Universal Railing Company. Railings, balustrades and lamp brackets to replace wartime salvage, to the pattern of the surviving length dated 1817. We worked to dimensions and patterns taken by the Universal Railing Company without actually visiting the site.
The work was carried out entirely in puddled wrought iron. The heads themselves were interesting to make, consisting of a collar of special section, forge welded to the head of the railing bar. The resulting point was then split and a sheet iron spear head welded into the split end.
