We worked with architect Nigel Hefferman to bring his concept balustrade idea to reality. Designed for a newly built home for a private client in Surrey, it was a challenge to get the design lines right on this elliptical staircase due to the sharpness of the rise and the curves. Our metal work included a rotunda balustrade, two flights of stairs balustrading & handrails and balustrading for the basement swimming pool and golf simulator area.

The staircase balustrade was made in mild steel and crafted by hand in our North Yorkshire workshop, many hours of work went into the detailing, forming the leaves and tendrils all complemented with a brass handrail.
