This modern steel and wood spider sculpture is destined for Dalby Forest’s new 2008 ‘Enchanted Wood’ attraction. It was made during the recent Dalby Forest Woodland Festival our blacksmiths.

Here over three days a variety of country craftsmen displayed their products and demonstrated their skills. Using a forge and anvil the Chris Topp blacksmith team created this meter square spider as interested forest visitors watched. The body was created from an oak tree trunk. In production at Chris Topp’s workshop is a giant five square meter spider’s web which next year will accompany the spider to Dalby’s new ‘Enchanted Wood’.
