Chris Topp & Co Ltd is a 30 year old company, based in North Yorkshire which is the only producer in the world today of genuine wrought iron and a leader in the restoration of heritage ironwork. They are one of the best known names for the design and creative production of modern and traditional iron work.

Chris Topp & Co administer the Real Wrought Iron Company producing rolled wrought iron which is both used in our own work and supplied to other blacksmiths. The company advises and lectures to companies and bodies on the techniques of ironwork restoration and offers consultancy to conservation organisations and other groups such as to Trading Standard Officers where they often advise on identifying genuine wrought iron. Chris Topp & Co provide a hire work service for the rolling of various material to customer requirements, and work tirelessly in the field of metallurgy and archaeology to increase the understanding of traditional blacksmith materials and in raising the standard of restoration work.

Chris Topp & Co welcome enquiries from private individuals, architects, building contractors, public authorities, heritage groups and preservation societies on the design and manufacture of traditional and modern ironwork. They are equally at home creating small items for private customers to major projects.
